Noted Bollywood actor, Rita Bhaduri dies Noted Film and TV actor, Rita Bhaduri, breathed her last on Monday night after fighting a kidney related ailment, resulting in cardiac arrest,  for many days. She was 62. The late actor died at Sujay Hospital in suburban Juhu, Mumbai where she was admitted for past couple of weeks. Even as Maharashtra gets affected by milk shortage since dairy farmers have gone on a strike since Sunday night, the Nashik administration has asked dairy associations there to continue supplying milk to cities like Mumbai and assured police protection to these convoys. Nashik Collector Radhakrishnan B informed that 15 milk trucks were dispatched early Monday morning to Mumbai under police protection. Officials say the law would also make way for sustainable fishing and best practices, and check over-exploitation of inland and marine fishery resources. However, officials have said the capital city of Mumbai will not be affected as it has enough buffer stock to last two days. Big dairies have affirmed that they will continue to distribute milk in Mumbai. Farmers, led by Lok Sabha MP from Kolhapur Raju Shetti, are protesting against drop in milk prices and reduction in procurement by milk cooperatives. Shetti’s party, Swabhimaani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS), has a strong base in milk-producing areas of western Maharashtra. The SSS, along with other farmer’s organisations like All India Kisan Sabha and Bahujan Vikas Aghadi, which have joined the protest, is demanding higher prices for farmers and a Rs 5 per litre direct subsidy.
