Chief vigilance officer of Canara Bank, Bangaluru-based state-owned lender, Anil Mittal received an award, that too on the occasion of his retirement day. Mittal, who has already served as CVO of State Bank of Mysore in past, received Vigilance Excellence Award from the President of India, Dr Ramnath Kovind,  ifuring Vigilance Awareness ceremony in Vigyan Bhawan for Canara Bank as CVO.
Incidentally, it happened on the day of his superannuation on October 31. He has also served as general manager of the state-run lender, Union Bank of India in past. Mittal has had an illustrious career as a banker as he served in various positions at Union Bank, before he was appointed as CVO at SBM in Bangaluru and then as CVO of Canara Bank.
