CII signed an MoU with Government of Madhya Pradesh for setting up a State of Art Multi-Skill development Centre at Budhni in Madhya Pradesh with International tie-up for training as well as placements of youth in the state. The centre would be ‘one-of-its kind’, conceptualized and driven by industry, and aimed at creating talent pool of trained youth for industry.
The MoU was signed at Government of Madhya Pradesh ‘Global Skill & Employment Partnership (GSEP) Summit 2017’ with CII as National Partner. Summit focused on skill development and employment opportunities available across the state and aiming to match the skilled workforce of the state with industry.
Discussing the preparations and schemes of skill training in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister, Chouhan said that all possible efforts will be made to build the future of youths. The revolutionary beginning of making youths skillful and giving them employment has started in the state.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Union Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was the Chief Guest of the summit and said that in the last six decades, education has not got the support of skill development. This is why skill development sector could not get the expected priority. Praising Madhya Pradesh he said that with the vitality and sensitivity of Chief Minister Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh is far ahead from the other states in skill development.
