Sleuths of directorate of revenue intelligence (DRI) seized gold bars weighing 18.3 kg and valued at Rs 5.4 crore  under Operation MZU.
Place of operation is CourierTerminal(EICI Premises) Commodity.

During the raid, it was found that gold plates were concealed in power supply. The modus operandi used by the accused involved in the illegal trade was simple.
Based on specific intelligence officers of DRI, MZU examined the couriers of a particular operator originating from Hong Kong and recovered 18.3 Kgs of gold valued at Rs 5.4crore which was cleverly concealed within a power supply electronic equipment in form of silver colored gold plates. Further follow ups are under progress.
