The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has imposed ban on 347 food outlets in Mumbai. The food is supplied by food chain companies like Swiggy, Foodpanda, Zomato, and is being produced in a very dirty condition. In the name of cheap, instant and overwhelming discount, it has been found to be a very good way to play with the health of the common people
During the period 21st September to 1st October at the end of last month, the FDA team has total 347 missions . In these jets, 113 shops have no license to set up food products. Also, no license has been registered for the preparation of food. Food distribution was done to these companies from Goregaon, Malad, Andheri, Bhandup, Chembur, Prabhadevi etc.. Most of the food is being prepared in Mumbai’s slum area. The site of the food-cooked kitchen has been found to be a very dirty spot.
