Two Bihar boys secure Top-10 position in AIIMS entrance


Two students from Bihar secured place in the Top-10 list of All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) MBBS online entrance test result, held on May 28 across the country.

Rishav Raj with 99.99 percentile, from Jhajha in Jamui district, got All India 6th rank in general category and 1st in OBC category in the test. Father of Rishav runs a small shop in Jhajha.

Rishav completed his 10th from Jhajha with 92.8 percent and 12th from Patna with 96.7 percent marks. His elder sister is studying in IIT Dhanbad, which is known as ISM. Rishav was preparing for medical entrance test in Kota.

Another history maker from Bihar is Harsh Agarwal. He secured 5th rank in the same examination. All Indian 4th rank holder Nipun Chandra also has Bihar connection. Basically, he belongs to Bhubaneswar, Odisha, but his family resides in Patna. His father Niten Chandra is an IAS and mother Shalini Chandra is a lawyer.

Except top rankers, several other students achieved success in the test. Nayan Utpal from Patna got 151st rank, while Saumya Pragalbh secured 349th rank. He also hails from Patna. His father Ajay Kumar Upadhyay is Railway Chief Commercial Inspector in Hazipur.

Aayush Ranjan, son of neuro surgeon Dr Rajiv Ranjan and NMCH’s assistant professor Dr Anita Kumari, also achieved success in the entrance with 350th rank. Aayush has also got 68th rank in JIPMER. Another candidate, Chandra Shah from Kheretia, Gopalganj district also secured 363rd rank in the entrance test. His father Harilal Shah is a cultivator. Chandra had been preparing for the medical test in Patna.
